Swim for it !

No fun days out this quarter, the rainy season hit with a vengeance, and the Children's Refuge was not able to escape the torrential onslaught. In the picture above the garden floods while Ayu, the latest child to join the house, searches for the TV remote control.

Actually, the initial plan for this front page was to include a photo of the children made up to look totally pathetic, under a torrent of leaks from a roof in desperate need of repair. A shameless attempt to yank on the heart & purse strings of the kind reader. Unfortunately none of the photos looked quite pathetic enough, although we thank the kids very much for trying. Below are some of the failed entries anyway.

Latest News

The Organisation received approval for the first stage of building permission at the new land. When the rainy season finishes in around April/May then we hope to start building the new Children's Refuge Complex. The planned design is that of a children's village with a number of individual 'familiy' houses each providing a home to approximately 10 children, along with associated communal buildings, a farm and play areas. Anyone wishing to be involved please feel very free to contact us.

Donations can now be made online through the Organisation's website. Using Paypal, one-time or regular monthly donation can easily be made in a choice of currencies direct from your credit card. Please visit http: //

Please Remember :

We need all the support we can get.

There are only a few regular Donors and the current monthly Refuge costs are not yet being met. If we are to expand and provide a home for 50 - 100 children then we really need help to do this.

If you know anyone who might be interested in helping to support this project please pass on our contact details.

Thank you very much.
